Completely KIDS announced today that its signature event, Pinot, Pigs & Pours, held on September 16th, raised $260,615 for the organization. Pinot, Pigs and Pours started as Pinot, Pigs & Poets 15 years ago, taking a hiatus in 2020 due to COVID-19 protocols.

The event featured the community’s best chefs from 402 eat + drink, Abraham Catering, Champions Run, Dante, Railcar and Stirnella who compete to offer their best pork-themed dishes to attendees. A group of judges votes on the dishes to declare a winner. Chef Matt Moser from Stirnella won for his dish.

Also featured were pinots from 16 fruitful regions across the nation and bourbons from four local and national distillers. The event chairs changed up the event from once featuring slam poets to featuring these pours this year.

More than 250 people attended this year’s event. Event Chairs were Emily and Trent Allen and Ann and Kyle Pitschka. Advisors were Kyle and Mike Robino. Committee members included Kristyn and Drew Antonio, Nancy and Bob Edick, Christina and Cole Groteluschen, Emily and Mike Jung, Mary Jo and Bob Langdon, John Langwith, Dick Lee, Jodie Mackintosh, Regan and Mike Mackintosh, Tyler Ratigan, Nola Schettler, and Jane Stone.

Proceeds from Pinot, Pigs & Pours directly benefit Completely KIDS that serves more than 2,600 children in its afterschool program, provides more than 169,000 hot meals per year, and distributes more than 21,300 bags of weekend food. Completely KIDS also provides afterschool, family and mental health services to children and families in our community. Completely KIDS is grateful for attendees and the generous sponsors of this signature event.
