Dr. Michele Borba is an internationally-renowned educational psychologist, and parenting, bullying and character expert. In her work, she aims to strengthen children’s character and resilience, build strong families, create compassionate school cultures and reduce cruelty among peers.
Dr. Borba is the best-selling author of 22 books including Building Moral Intelligence and The Big Book of Parenting Solutions. Her most recent book, Unselfie: Why Empathetic Kids Succeed in Our All-About-Me World, was published in 2016 and shows how a lack of empathy relates to the self-absorption of today’s society. Research shows that teens today are 40% less empathetic than they were 30 years ago. Unselfie narrows in on the causes of the empathy crisis and outlines a plan for parents and educators to reverse it.

She has been featured on many national media outlets including Dr. Phil, Dateline, The View and CNN, as well as in Newsweek, Good Housekeeping, U.S. News & World Report, The New York Times and more.
