February 23, 2022 >> For immediate release Completely KIDS is pleased to announce that Centris Federal Credit Union is offering Mad Money City, a hands-on, interactive simulation that teaches teens in the Teen Employment Program how money works in the real world. The event runs from 3:30PM to 6:30PM on Friday, February 25 at Completely KIDS at 2566 St. Mary’s Avenue.
Special guests include representatives from Congressman Don Bacon’s office as well as Nebraska State Legislator Terrell McKinney who are interested in observing how financial institutions are teaching financial education.
Each teen at the event will be given a packet of information including a financial situation to solve. In the packet is also their salary, occupation, family information, insurance plan and more. They will then navigate around “city” booths to seek help with and learn more about how to solve their financial situation. “We love this role-play concept,” said CEO Carla O’Donnell Rizzo. “Centris Federal Credit Union is bringing a very creative way to impart education about navigating basic financial needs present in everyone’s lives.”
